Duties
- Record and process all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to maintain accuracy.
- Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and detailed account analyses in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct payroll processing duties accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and month-end closing activities to support organizational planning.
- Perform account reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to uphold data integrity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with familiarity in public accounting or non-profit accounting environments.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or equivalent systems.
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and GAAP standards.
- Experience with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliation procedures.
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to document financial reports clearly and collaborate effectively with team members.

Pay: $28.12 - $33.86 per hour
