Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Assist customers with product inquiries, offer product demos when appropriate, and suggest items through effective upselling techniques
- Maintain accurate cash drawer handling and perform retail math calculations for transactions and change management
- Restock shelves regularly, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, inviting, and well-merchandised
- Conduct product demos to educate visitors about featured items and promote sales opportunities
- Manage inventory levels by stocking new merchandise and reporting low stock or damaged items promptly
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to highlight new arrivals or featured collections
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering, with familiarity in retail math and cash register operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide friendly, clear assistance to customers of all backgrounds
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse visitor base effectively
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail store product knowledge is essential
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and conducting product demos will be advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette skills for remote inquiries or customer support
