Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and cleaning
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with animal restraint during medical procedures
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kennel area
- Provide exercise and socialization
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Assist with basic grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
- Provide support to the veterinary team during examinations and treatments
Skills:
- Experience or knowledge in pet grooming, animal care, or veterinary field is preferred
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Knowledge of training techniques and behavior management
- Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required in a kennel environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
