American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for an outpatient imaging center in the Boston, MA area, requiring ARRT certification and proficiency with 3T GE and Hitachi Oasis MRI systems.

Outpatient imaging setting with two MRI systems: a 3T GE Premier and a 1.2T Hitachi Oasis

Two-technologist model within the imaging department
-
Performs routine outpatient MRI exams with and without contrast for both clinical and research patients

Rotation across MRI scanners within the assigned department as needed

Charting performed in Epic EMR
-
13-week contract

Current ARRT certification required
-
Current BLS certification required (AHA only; no other providers accepted at this location)

Active MA license required at time of consideration; conditional licenses and pending licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable

Competency in routine outpatient MRI exams with and without IV contrast
-
Experience inserting IV catheters and administering MR contrast agents via power injector
-
Ability to optimize scan parameters to maintain diagnostic image quality

Two professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities include patient preparation, positioning, protocol selection, image acquisition, computer processing, and quality assurance scans

Performs point-of-care testing (POCT) where applicable

Serves as the final safety checkpoint prior to scanning, enforcing MRI safety protocols for all patients and visitors entering the MRI area

Identifies hazardous system malfunctions and manages emergency situations within the magnet bay

Performs scheduled quality control procedures on MRI scanners and related equipment

Collaborates with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff as needed

Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted

No validated parking is available at Boston locations; public parking is available at daily rates, and public transportation is accessible

Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced pay rate
