Certified Medical Assistant – Outpatient Surgical Practice (Full-Time or Part-Time)

We are a fast-paced and patient-centered outpatient surgical practice providing exceptional care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant who is professional, reliable, and dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams and surgical consultations
- Room patients, record vital signs, and update medical histories
- Assist providers during office procedures and minor surgeries
- Manage pre-op and post-op documentation and patient instructions
- Perform clinical tasks including injections, EKGs, wound care, and specimen collection (per certification scope)
- Handle EMR documentation and maintain accurate patient records
- Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure a clean, safe environment
- Support the surgical team with administrative and clinical tasks as needed
- Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards at all times
Qualifications
- Required: CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent medical assistant certification
- Minimum 1–2 years of medical assisting experience (surgical or specialty experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and medical terminology
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy outpatient setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule
- Full-time or part-time opportunities available
- Monday–Friday schedule; no nights, weekends, or major holidays
- Flexible hours based on practice needs
