Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and takes pride in whatever work they are doing. This role is essential for harvesting of kalo lau (leaf) and corm, maintaining the standards and protocols of the company.
Responsibilities
- Assist in harvests of taro leaf and corm.
- Provide proper sanitation of all tools and harvest bins
- Operate farm machinery such as UTV's safely
- Ability to properly log harvests
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various harvest tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm facilities and equipment.
- Assist with greenhouse operations and horticulture tasks as required.
- Conduct basic math calculations
Requirements
- Previous experience in farming or agriculture is preferred.
- Ability to operate weed eater safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting . (40lbs+)
- Basic math skills for calculating weights.
