Job Title: Project Coordinator / IMS Scheduling Specialist
Location: Herndon, VA or Bowie, MD
Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Scheduling Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing Integrated Master Schedules to support program execution. This role ensures alignment of project milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation with overall program objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage scheduling tools and data analysis techniques to identify risks, assess performance variances, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to support program objectives
- Track project dependencies, milestones, and critical path activities
- Generate and deliver schedule status reports, metrics, and dashboards
- Support Program Management Office (PMO) reviews, briefings, and audits
- Identify scheduling risks and opportunities; recommend mitigation strategies
- Analyze schedule performance and variances to ensure alignment with program goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely schedule inputs
- Continuously improve scheduling processes, workflows, and reporting methods
