Copiah Family Wellness & Chiropractic Center is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and organized Chiropractic Assistant/Rehabilitation Technician to join our growing team. We have opportunities available for both full-time and part-time positions. This position requires working between our Hazlehurst and Flowood locations, so candidates must be willing and able to travel between offices as needed.
We are looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys helping patients, and can confidently multitask while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist doctors with patient flow and daily clinic operations
- Administer therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation exercises
- Instruct patients on corrective exercises and home care programs
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
- Verify insurance benefits and assist with patient financial arrangements
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/check-out procedures
- Perform x-rays (if certified)
- Assist with medical records and compliance requirements
- Support marketing, patient retention, and community outreach efforts
- Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and clinic supplies
- Work collaboratively with providers and team members to deliver exceptional patient care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a chiropractic, medical, rehabilitation, physical therapy, or related healthcare setting
- Front desk and patient scheduling experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations
- Ability to learn new software and follow established systems
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist patients throughout the day
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- X-ray certification
- Chiropractic Assistant certification
- Medical billing and coding experience
- Insurance verification and authorization experience
- Massage therapy experience
- Exercise physiology background
- Personal trainer certification
- Rehabilitation or physical therapy experience
- Experience with SilkOne, Office Ally, or other EHR systems
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a criminal background check and employment verification
- Must maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Valid driver's license required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Drug screening may be required
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment screenings
