Job Summary
The Pizzeria On Pine is seeking a skilled and passionate pizza maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in preparing and serving high-quality pizzas. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety practices, pizza and slice assembly, knowledge and understanding of operating a gas pizza oven, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Prepare the pizza display case for slice sales
- Take customer orders for slices and reheat them according to company standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Handle food products safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all orders are accurate and presented beautifully
Qualifications
- Must have experience as a pizza maker
- Strong culinary experience with a focus on pizza preparation and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of fine dining standards and catering practices is a plus
- Proficient knife skills and experience with meal preparation are essential
- Familiarity with food service operations, including kitchen experience in restaurants or similar environments
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for handling ingredients
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
