Do you get an unreasonable amount of satisfaction from organizing a closet, creating systems that make life easier, crossing items off a to-do list, and leaving a room better than you found it?
We're a busy family looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Household Manager to help keep our household running smoothly. If you're the type of person who notices when a picture frame is crooked, enjoys creating order from chaos, and can balance perfectionism with practicality, we'd love to talk.
We're looking for someone who can become a trusted extra set of hands and eyes for our household—helping with organization, maintenance, projects, and the countless little things that keep a home functioning well.
Must be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
Typical hours will be approximately 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional additional hours as projects arise.
Please do not apply if you cannot consistently work Mondays and Wednesdays.
Mom and Dad both travel frequently for work, so occasional schedule adjustments may be requested. Rare Sunday assistance may be needed during travel periods or special events.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall functionality throughout the home through both routine upkeep and deep-cleaning projects.
- Perform regular cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, wiping walls, doors, trim, baseboards, windows, mirrors, and high-touch surfaces.
- Load / unload the dishwasher, manage kitchen tidiness, and help maintain organized pantry, cabinet, refrigerator, and storage spaces.
- Handle laundry from start to finish, including washing, drying, folding, hanging, ironing as needed, organizing, and putting away clothing, linens, and bedding.
- Change bed linens and help maintain household textiles, seasonal clothing, and storage systems.
- Organize and maintain closets, pantries, storage rooms, basement, garage, seasonal décor, and other household spaces to create efficient, functional systems.
- Monitor household supplies and inventory, keeping track of items that need to be restocked and assisting with household shopping lists.
- Run household errands including returns, donation drop-offs, store pickups, and shopping for household necessities.
- Assist with light meal preparation and preparing items to make weeknight meals easier.
- Feed and care for large dogs, including maintaining clean feeding and water stations.
- Assist with travel preparation, packing, unpacking, and household reset before and after trips.
- Coordinate with household vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed and help maintain a household maintenance schedule.
- Perform basic handyman and home maintenance tasks including furniture assembly, hanging items, touch-up painting, changing light bulbs, replacing batteries, and other minor repairs.
- Help prepare the home for guests, family gatherings, holidays, and special occasions, including decorating, setup, organization, and cleanup.
- Identify opportunities to improve household organization, efficiency, and overall presentation while proactively addressing needs before they become problems.
- Maintain clear communication regarding completed tasks, supply needs, maintenance concerns, and recommendations for improving household operations.

A Few Things to Know
- We have young children. They are typically at school, camp, or activities during working hours, but may occasionally be home.
- We value initiative, reliability, common sense, and follow-through.
- We'd rather have someone who can intelligently prioritize a long list than someone who waits to be told what to do next.
- The ideal candidate is a little Type A, loves a good checklist, and finds satisfaction in making a home run more smoothly.
- If you've ever reorganized a pantry, labeled bins, or color-coded a closet and thought, "This is fun," you'll probably fit right in.
