Job Summary
Join our dedicated emergency medical team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with West Virginia certification.
Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing critical care and transportation for patients in need of urgent medical attention.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and trauma evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely on city streets and highways while navigating complex traffic conditions efficiently.
- Coordinate with hospital staff and incident command teams to ensure seamless patient handoff and continuity of care.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, vital signs, incident reports, and transport logs for legal and medical records.
Requirements
- Valid West Virginia EMT certification with current licensure;
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating emergency vehicles under various conditions is required.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking; capable of working in high-pressure situations with a focus on patient safety.
