Alice’s Teapot Café is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Busser / Restaurant Cleaner to help keep our café running smoothly. This position is essential to our team and requires someone who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and providing support wherever it’s needed.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout the shift with high care and precision
- Keep the dish area clean, organized, and stocked
- Bus and reset tables quickly to maintain a welcoming dining room
- Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of the dining room, kitchen, and service areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms throughout the day
- Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and maintain all areas
- Clean windows, doors, counters, tables, chairs, and other high-touch surfaces
- Restock paper products, soap, cleaning supplies, and other essential items
- Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries when needed
- Support kitchen staff with basic prep or other tasks as assigned
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Complete opening, closing, and deep cleaning duties according to daily checklists
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required (will train s needed)
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following safety procedures
- Weekend availability is required
