We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our team and serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential to creating an outstanding patient experience by welcoming patients, coordinating appointments, assisting with insurance and paperwork, and ensuring the front office operates efficiently.
Education and Experience
- Customer service or receptionist experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience in optometry, dental, or medical office is preferred but not required
- Prior experience with in-person patient care and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) is highly valued

Primary Job Duties
The PSR will help ensure a seamless patient experience from arrival through checkout:
- Welcome patients and assist with check-in procedures
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
- Register new patients and update demographic information
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments
- Process patient paperwork and maintain accurate electronic records
- Coordinate patient flow with technicians and doctors
- Assist with patient checkout and follow-up scheduling
