PRN Occupational Therapist – Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care
New Brighton Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team serving residents in both skilled nursing and long-term care.
The Occupational Therapist will work closely with residents, families, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to help residents improve independence, daily functioning, and overall quality of life through individualized therapy programs.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapy services focused on activities of daily living, mobility, strength, coordination, and cognitive functioning
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy team members, and families regarding resident progress and goals
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as needed
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on adaptive equipment and therapeutic techniques
- Maintain productivity standards while delivering high-quality resident-centered care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Occupational Therapist license in applicable state
- Skilled nursing and/or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Passion for working with the geriatric population
