Summary of Job:
The Childcare Teacher will work with the Center childcare team to adapt and implement lesson plans. The Teacher will guide other staff to provide quality interactions, room environments, and educational programming in the classroom. They will provide classroom management and support training initiatives asthey relate to the programming. The Teacher will work within guidelines of all HealthCare for Kids policy and procedures and will ensure the classroom is following best practice standards for a high-quality early childhood experience.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Care and/or Pediatric experience required.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and written in a clear, concise and easily understood manner.
- Exhibit leadership and organization skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and perform as a foundational team member.
- Current negative Tuberculosis skin test (PDD) required.
- Current CPR (Basic Life Support) required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, lift or assist in lifting an individual in an emergency. perform activities on a child’s level.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and demonstrate flexibility to meet the care and ne of the Child.
- Must be able to see with visual and listen with hearing acuity.
- Must have strength and manual dexterity, including grasping and manipulating small objects.
