What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff across multiple projects.
- Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned.
- Oversee electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, auxiliary systems, single-line diagrams, and equipment layouts.
- Review and coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other project disciplines.
- Supervise engineering studies, including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, voltage drop, and load analysis.
- Review submittals, specifications, equipment selections, and commissioning documentation.
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and resolve design issues during construction.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform value engineering, review contract documents, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and technical problem resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Experience
- One-year on-site field experience strongly encouraged
- Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
- Licensure as a US-based Professional Engineer is required
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering subjects, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, energy conservation, value engineering, applicable codes, standards, etc., is required to design state-of-the-art constructible projects.
- Proficient in Autodesk, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Illumination software, and Oracle software pertaining to Engineering Productivity and CAC generation.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
Pay: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
