Job Description
Primary Function
The Head Chef will work hand-in-hand with the Operations Manager and the Event Coordinator to manage day-to-day kitchen operations for the ballroom and 19th hole and related personnel to promote and provide service to Beaver Brook Country Club members and their guests.
Supervision
The Head Chef reports directly to the Operations Manager
Qualifications:
- Culinary Arts degree preferred or 7 plus years experience
- Food Safety Certification preferred
- Experience and ability to cook large quantities (for 150+ people)
- Exceptional cooking skills
Primary Duties:
- Makes schedules for ballroom and 19th hole kitchens.
- Ability to work irregular shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Minimize waste while delivering superb food in adequate quantities.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and workspace at all times
- Hire, train, manage and motivate staff to provide consistent and exceptional service
- Work with event coordinator to provide outstanding food experience
- Recruit, hire and train needed kitchen staff
- Work with Office Manager to resolve member related questions, prepare notes to membership via newsletter or eblast
- Enthusiastically promote BBGCC with a high level of service and positive attitude towards members and ensuring a fine dining experience
- Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager to enhance member experience

Salary
The target hiring range for this role is $50,000-$60,000. However, pay is commensurate with experience, and we are open to higher compensation for exceptional candidates.
