CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)
Door Pros & Clear Winner Glass | Palm Desert, California
Lead. Build. Grow. Own the Results.
Door Pros and Clear Winner Glass are growing home-service companies serving customers throughout the Coachella Valley. Door Pros specializes in residential garage door repair, service, installation, and sales. Clear Winner Glass specializes in glass, windows, doors, sliding doors, and related residential and light-commercial services.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the operations of both companies and help take them to their next level of growth.
This is not a traditional corporate COO position. We are looking for a proven home-service operator and trades leader who knows how to lead people, manage field operations, use data to drive decisions, maximize ServiceTitan, improve profitability, and build systems that allow a business to grow without depending on the owner for day-to-day execution.
The COO will report directly to the Owner/President and will have significant responsibility for the performance, people, processes, and profitability of both companies.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day operating performance of Door Pros and Clear Winner Glass.
Your mission is simple:
Build a high-performing organization that delivers exceptional customer experiences, develops great people, improves profitability, and creates scalable systems for continued growth.
You will lead the field and office teams, establish accountability, drive KPI performance, improve operational efficiency, and develop the leadership structure necessary for the companies to grow.
You will also play a critical role in allowing the owner to step away from daily operational issues and focus on strategic growth, expansion, acquisitions, and long-term company development.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Operations & Execution
- Own day-to-day operations across both companies.
- Lead field service, installation, dispatch, scheduling, customer service, and administrative operations.
- Ensure technicians and operational teams have the resources, direction, and accountability necessary to perform at a high level.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions.
- Establish clear standards for productivity, professionalism, quality, and customer service.
- Build an operating culture based on accountability, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
ServiceTitan & Technology
ServiceTitan expertise is required.
You will be expected to maximize ServiceTitan as the operating system for the organization, including:
- Scheduling and dispatch.
- Technician productivity.
- Job costing.
- Estimates and invoices.
- Reporting and dashboards.
- Customer and job workflows.
- Performance tracking.
- Operational accountability.
- Identification of opportunities to improve revenue, margins, efficiency, and customer experience.
You should be someone who understands that technology is only valuable when it produces measurable operational results.
Financial & KPI Accountability
The COO will be accountable for operational and financial performance and will work closely with ownership to establish, monitor, and achieve company KPIs.
Key areas include:
- Revenue growth.
- Gross margin.
- Job profitability.
- Labor efficiency.
- Technician productivity.
- Average ticket.
- Conversion performance.
- Callback and warranty rates.
- Customer satisfaction.
- Schedule efficiency.
- Employee retention.
- Overall operating profitability.
You will establish a consistent operating cadence that includes weekly leadership meetings, KPI scorecards, performance reviews, and monthly business reviews.
Your bonus will be directly tied to achieving agreed-upon Key Performance Indicators.
People & Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain high-quality technicians and operational employees.
- Lead and develop managers, supervisors, and other key team members.
- Establish clear expectations and accountability.
- Address performance issues quickly and professionally.
- Develop future leaders within the organization.
- Build a culture where high performers can succeed and employees understand exactly what is expected of them.
Systems & Scalability
We are looking for someone who can build the machine—not simply operate the machine.
You will:
- Develop and document SOPs, processes, and playbooks.
- Standardize operations across Door Pros and Clear Winner Glass.
- Create systems that improve consistency and reduce dependence on individual employees.
- Improve communication between field and office teams.
- Develop capacity planning and staffing strategies.
- Identify opportunities for automation and technology improvements.
- Build an organization capable of continued growth without constant owner involvement.
Customer Experience & Quality
Our reputation matters.
The COO will ensure that customers receive:
- Professional service.
- Timely communication.
- Quality workmanship.
- Consistent experiences.
- Accurate estimates and invoices.
- Prompt resolution of problems.
You will establish accountability throughout the organization for customer satisfaction, quality, callbacks, and warranty performance.
