We are seeking a Trainee that is eager to gain hands-on experience across warehouse operations, inside sales, inventory control, and customer support while learning our products, systems, and full project cycle.

Job Requirements:
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and write general business correspondence.
- Ability to analyze and interpret reports, technical procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, or public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, material margins and volume, area, circumference and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form and solve problems involving several concrete variables.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a variety of tasks and projects to gain practical work experience and build knowledge about the waterworks industry, products, and services.
- Build product and application knowledge from a variety of sources, to include hands-on learning in the warehouse environment.
- Read sales orders to determine items to be picked, packed, and/or shipped.
- Input and track item records to learn materials movement and inventory control.
- Learn how to navigate and fully utilize the company’s sales and operating system (NetSuite).
- Train with inside sales staff to learn how to generate quotes, bids, and submittals for customers.
- Provide product pricing and availability over the phone, in person, or via electronic technology.
- Perform steps to either handoff or manage the full project cycle of awarded business.
- Gain broad understanding of suppliers, customers, markets, and product needs.
- Produce takeoffs and create project estimates.
- Attend sales calls with current customers and future prospects.
- Perform customer service duties as requested to support client’s needs.
- Assist with general housekeeping of the warehouse and worksite.
- Comply with safe work habits established by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
