Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our facilities and engineering operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the maintenance, repair, and management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our Hotel and facilities sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, and a proactive approach to ensuring safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. As a Chief Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations to support our organizational goals.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), HVAC units, and plumbing systems using schematics, Ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Manage facilities management programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (QUORE) to schedule preventive maintenance and track work orders.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits, training sessions, and maintaining accurate safety documentation.
- Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs while managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, incident reports, and equipment histories to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategic plans for industrial maintenance operations that optimize performance while minimizing downtime.
Requirements
- Proven management experience leading facilities or industrial maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including HVAC systems repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems (high voltage/low voltage), and industrial troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical testing tools such as Ohmmeters, and safety regulations including OSHA standards.
- Demonstrated experience managing facilities maintenance management programs using CMMS software.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines especially when it comes to guests services / help.
- Supervising experience in managing large teams within a fast-paced industrial setting is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with HVAC system repair and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams related to mechanical or electrical systems.
