About Us
O'Neill's Inflight Catering provides in-flight catering services to airlines / private aviation / FBOs and charter operators. It's a fast-paced, deadline-driven industry — aircraft don't wait — and our accounting team keeps the financial side moving just as reliably as the food gets to the ramp.
We're growing and modernizing, rolling out new systems and processes to replace manual work. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of building that, not just processing transactions.
The Role
We're hiring an Accounting Clerk to own day-to-day customer invoicing and support, expense recording, and account reconciliations. You'll work closely with the whole accounting team and interact directly with customers and vendors, so accuracy, follow-through, and a friendly professional manner all matter here.
What You'll Do
- Customer invoicing — Prepare, review, and issue accurate customer invoices on schedule
- Customer support— Answer incoming calls and emails, research billing questions, and resolve discrepancies with a helpful, professional approach
- Credit card expenses— Record and code company credit card transactions, chase down missing receipts and documentation
- A/P reconciliation — Reconcile accounts payable to vendor statements and resolve variances with vendors
- A/R reconciliation— Reconcile QuickBooks accounts receivable against actual activity, investigate differences, and keep the subledger clean and reliable
- Team support — Pitch in across the accounting department as needed, and help test, adopt, and improve new technologies and processes as we implement them
What We're Looking For
**Required**
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Intermediate to advanced Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and working with large data sets)
- Strong customer service skills — clear, patient, and professional on the phone and in writing
- Solid reconciliation instincts: you notice when numbers don't tie and you don't stop until you know why
- Accurate, organized, and able to juggle recurring deadlines
- A genuine team player who's willing to help wherever the department needs it
- Open to change — you see new tools and processes as an opportunity, not a hassle
**Nice to Have**
- Experience in aviation, catering, hospitality, food service, or another high-volume operations environment
- Exposure to ERP implementations, automation tools, or accounting system migrations
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Why You'll Like Working Here
- A small, collaborative accounting team where your work is visible and your ideas get heard
- Real involvement in modernizing how the department works, not just inheriting someone else's process
- Benefits: medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k) with match, paid holidays, etc.
