Job Title: Motherboard Repair Technician
Location: Grapevine, Tx
Shift and pay:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 am-2:30 pm Mon-Thur $18-$22/hr
Motherboard Repair Technician Position Summary:
The Motherboard Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing computer motherboards and related components at a component level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, with expertise in reading and interpreting schematics, using diagnostic tools, and performing precise soldering tasks. This position requires a high degree of technical acumen and problem-solving ability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair motherboards and related hardware down to the component level.
- Interpret and understand electronic schematics and diagrams to troubleshoot circuit issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment to identify faults.
- Perform precise soldering and de-soldering of components on PCB boards.
- Conduct functional tests and quality checks to ensure all repairs meet industry standards.
- Document all repair activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and repair methodologies.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve repair processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing motherboards and electronic components at the component level.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electronic schematics and diagrams.
- Strong soldering skills with experience in both surface mount and through-hole components.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Background in Computer Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
