Honor GMC is seeking an experienced, results-driven Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated automotive professional with a strong background in inventory management, vehicle acquisition, deal structuring, lender relationships, merchandising, pricing, and retail profitability.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Manage all aspects of the dealership's used vehicle inventory.

Source and acquire quality pre-owned inventory through trades, auctions, direct purchases, service drive opportunities, and private-party acquisitions.

Evaluate vehicle values using current market conditions, appraisal tools, and dealership objectives.

Develop competitive pricing strategies based on market data and inventory turn goals.

Monitor inventory aging and implement strategies to maximize profitability while minimizing depreciation.

Desk vehicle transactions by structuring deals that meet dealership objectives while providing competitive purchase options for customers.

Submit vehicle finance applications to lending institutions and work with lenders to obtain approvals and funding opportunities in accordance with dealership policies and applicable lending requirements.

Work closely with the Finance Department to facilitate efficient deal flow and ensure accurate documentation.

Speak with every customer purchasing a used vehicle, whenever practicable, to assist with the sales process, address concerns, reinforce the dealership's commitment to customer satisfaction, and support closing opportunities.

Partner with the Sales, Service, Detail, and Finance departments to ensure vehicles are reconditioned, merchandised, and frontline-ready in a timely manner.

Review market trends, inventory performance, gross profit, and sales metrics to achieve departmental objectives.

Ensure inventory is accurately photographed, described, and marketed across all digital platforms.

Coach, mentor, and support sales managers and sales consultants regarding used vehicle inventory, appraisal techniques, and product knowledge.

Assist in resolving customer concerns in a professional and timely manner while promoting a positive ownership experience.

Maintain strong relationships with auction representatives, lenders, vendors, and other business partners.

Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of automotive used vehicle management experience preferred.

Strong vehicle appraisal and inventory acquisition skills.

Experience purchasing vehicles through auctions and direct acquisition channels.

Experience desking automotive deals and working with automotive lenders.

Knowledge of inventory management software and valuation tools (vAuto experience preferred).

Understanding of automotive financing processes and lender submission requirements.

Proven ability to maximize gross profit while maintaining healthy inventory turn.

Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and other hours as business needs require.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to be insured under the dealership's insurance policy.
