American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center night shift position requiring TNCC and Epic experience.

Work in the Emergency Room of a Level I Trauma Center
-
13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on assigned area

Must be able to function independently caring for Level 1 trauma patients in the Trauma Bay

Uses Epic EMR system
-
Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS (via AHA), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale
-
Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a 30+ bed ED, preferably at a Level A trauma center, required

Recent acute care experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital

Degree must be from an accredited school or an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON)

Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment

Must complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

Must complete lab testing within 72 hours of signing

Provide independent emergency nursing care to a high-acuity trauma patient population

Smoke-free facility
-
Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are considered at a lower rate

Former permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools are not accepted

8 hours of non-billable RN modules must be completed prior to start via self-submitted Certificates of Completion
