We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor residents’ health by observing patient conditions and reporting changes to healthcare teams
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
- Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote nutrition and independence
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and facility policies
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment for those with dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism or other developmental disabilities
- Assist with community outings or activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation
- Follow all safety procedures including CPR, First Aid, and emergency response protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments preferred
- Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, memory care or intellectual disabilities highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism
- Certifications in CPR / First Aid and Assistance with Medication will be provided if needed
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as required for resident transfers and caregiving duties
Pay & Schedules:
- Split Shift — $21.65/hr.
- Work half the week with built-in mid-day breaks.
Schedule Option 1:
- Every other Wednesday 6:30 AM–10:00 AM & 2:00 PM–9:00 PM (10.5hrs).
- Thursday & Friday: 6:30 AM–10:00 AM & 2:00 PM–9:00 PM (10.5hrs per day).
- Saturday: 7:00 AM–9:00 PM (14hrs).
- 35 hrs short week / 45.5 hrs long week.
Schedule Option 2:
- Every other Wednesday 6:30 AM–10:00 AM & 2:00 PM–9:00 PM (10.5hrs).
- Thursday & Friday: 6:30 AM–10:00 AM & 2:00 PM–9:00 PM (10.5hrs per day).
- Saturday: 11:00 AM–6:00 PM (7hrs).
- 28 hrs short week / 38.5 hrs long week.
