Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests from the moment they arrive. As the first point of contact, you will manage reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and ensure smooth seating and guest flow throughout the restaurant. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations using table management systems such as Opentable
- Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Assist guests with special requests and accommodate seating preferences whenever possible
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station and waiting areas
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems like Opentable
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlists, and guest counts accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest needs simultaneously
- Ability to remain energetic, positive, and professional in a fast-paced environment
