As a Customer Engagement Representative, you’ll be working directly with residential customers throughout San Diego to promote Verizon Wireless products and services through in-person outreach. The Customer Engagement Representative is expected to create a strong first impression, explain services clearly, and help strengthen the overall presence of the brand in neighborhoods across the market.
Customer Engagement Representative Key Responsibilities
- Conduct residential outreach throughout the San Diego area to introduce Verizon Wireless services
- Speak directly with customers about wireless plans, devices, pricing, and current promotions
- Represent the brand professionally during all outreach and customer interactions
- Use consultative sales techniques to identify customer needs and recommend the right solutions
- Handle questions, objections, and concerns while keeping conversations productive
- Support enrollment and account setup by ensuring customer information is completed accurately
- Track outreach activity and completed sales results throughout assigned territories
- Work with other Customer Engagement Representative team members to maintain consistent brand visibility and outreach performance
Customer Engagement Representative Qualifications
- Comfortable approaching homeowners and starting conversations without relying on a script
- Ability to recover quickly when a sales conversation doesn’t go your way and move on to the next interaction
- Strong awareness of tone, pacing, and body language during in-person outreach
- Someone who works well with daily territory-based activity and independent outreach schedules
- Able to simplify wireless plans, pricing structures, and service details without overwhelming customers
- Interest in learning how customer acquisition campaigns are executed in the field
- Competitive mindset with interest in commission-based sales growth
- Ability to maintain professionalism while working in public-facing residential environments
- Prior experience in canvassing, promotions, events, athletics, restaurants, or high-volume customer interaction is a plus
