Field Foreman – Hardscape Construction Division
Wage Range: $20.00 – $24.00
Job Type: Full Time + Overtime Available

Job Duties:

Manage the execution of hardscape construction projects, planning labor requirements, equipment requirements, material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of job(s) within project deadlines

Lead, coordinate, and schedule the day-to-day work activities of the hardscape construction crew including, the loading and unloading of job specific equipment and tools each day

Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to delegate/complete work activities

Manage safety, quality, and productivity of work at sites/shop/yard etc.

Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas

Delegate job tasks to appropriate crew members to assist in the completion of project

Operate various tools and equipment, including: heavy equipment, skid loader, mini excavator, chainsaws, levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, tampers, cut saws etc.

Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning frequently or when requested

Ensure the highest amount of quality has been delivered to the client on budget and on time

Train new employees, in the hardscape division, to ensure tasks are accomplished correctly, on time, within budget and in compliance with company policies and regulations

Snow removal duties will be seasonal
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of hardscape construction experience with 3 year of crew leadership

Valid driver’s license

Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

Speak, read and write English

Time management skills

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Capable of operating equipment, vehicles, and tools in a safe and responsible way i.e. skid loaders, mini excavators, tampers, cut saws, trucks with trailers etc.

Familiar with different hardscape construction products and materials, tools and equipment required to complete various hardscape construction projects

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and specifications

Knowledge of hardscape construction practices including installing patios, walkways, firepits, and outdoor kitchens, building retaining walls, constructing gazebos and pergolas, running pipe for irrigation, and light electrical work for installing landscape lighting
Work Conditions:
- Able to lift 50+lbs repeatedly through an entire work shift

Able to operate machinery and equipment i.e. tampers, skid loader, trucks with trailers, motorized wheelbarrow, mini excavator, chainsaws, hedge trimmer etc.

Able to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and all materials in a safe and respectful way

Able to work in a face paced environment where stamina is required

Work outside in all weather conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold
