Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of pediatric populations and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills to manage caseload paperwork and time efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to students in line with district goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Track and document student progress, maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ functional abilities within the classroom
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting and progress review
- Adapt activities and educational materials to promote student access and participation
