Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities in the dog daycare area, ensuring all dogs are safe, happy, and well-behaved during playtime and rest periods
- Facilitate socialization by introducing dogs to one another in a controlled, positive manner while monitoring interactions closely
- Assist with dog handling, including feeding, grooming, cleaning, and administering basic pet care tasks as needed
- Enforce safety protocols through animal restraint techniques and proper handling to prevent injuries or behavioral issues
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility by cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment regularly to promote hygiene and health standards
- Support team lifting efforts when moving heavy supplies or large dogs safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s behavior, needs, and special instructions
Requirements
- Prior experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, kennels, pet grooming salons, or pet sitting roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and canine behavior management is a strong plus
- Hands-on experience with animal handling, restraint methods, and outdoor work environments is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy equipment or animals
- Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and compassionately
- Strong team player with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain a lively, energetic attitude throughout the day

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
