Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized equipment, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and basic repairs when necessary to assess vehicle condition before towing
- Load and unload vehicles carefully, ensuring proper securing to prevent damage during transit
- Manage customer interactions professionally, providing clear communication and resolving conflicts with tact and diplomacy
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of the vehicle, location, and services performed
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all operations to protect yourself, colleagues, and clients
- Assist with other mechanical tasks such as load & unload operations
Experience
- Prior experience operating tow trucks or commercial driving vehicles with manual transmissions (preferred)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on automotive repair skills and familiarity with automotive diagnostics
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including flatbed setups and basic mechanic experience
- Proven ability to handle conflict management situations calmly and professionally
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and criminal record. You will have a background check with WSP
- Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients in high-pressure situations
