Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast and Yelp
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items like wines, spirits, or specialty cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and resetting tables for new guests
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including wine and spirits knowledge, to answer guest questions confidently
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast or Yelp, or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and food safety standards is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining excellent guest relations
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing tabs
