What you'll do
- Perform customized facial treatments based on each client's skin type, concerns, goals, and provider recommendations.
- Provide advanced skincare services, including medical-grade facials, extractions, dermaplaning, chemical peels, and other non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatments.
- Perform treatments using advanced facial and skin technology such as DiamondGlow, SkinPen microneedling, and similar device-based systems, with our menu of devices growing over time.
- Conduct thorough skin consultations, using next-generation skin analysis, and recommend appropriate treatment plans and homecare regimens.
- Educate clients on skincare products, treatment expectations, pre-care, post-care, and long-term maintenance.
- Provide appropriate pre- and post-treatment skincare guidance around injectables, lasers, and peels to support optimal results.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in treatment rooms and throughout all services.
- Accurately document treatments, product recommendations, client concerns, and follow-up plans.
- Build strong client relationships through excellent communication, trust, and consistent follow-up.
- Support client retention and practice growth by recommending treatment series, skincare plans, retail products, and ongoing maintenance appointments.
- Help shape the facial menu, product selection, and treatment protocols as a founding voice.
- Stay current with skincare trends, product knowledge, treatment protocols, and advancements in medical aesthetics.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver a seamless, elevated, concierge-level client experience, and assist with skincare inventory, product education, treatment room preparation, and overall practice flow as needed.
What you'll bring
- Active California aesthetician license required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in aesthetics, medical aesthetics, dermatology, or a med spa setting preferred.
- Hands-on experience with advanced facial and skin technology such as DiamondGlow, SkinPen microneedling, or similar systems strongly preferred.
- Experience performing medical-grade facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, extractions, and customized skincare treatments.
- Strong knowledge of skin health, product ingredients, treatment contraindications, and post-procedure skincare.
- Comfortable recommending professional skincare products and treatment plans, with a consultative, client-first approach to retail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients clearly and confidently.
- Professional, polished, dependable, and team-oriented, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional care.
- Passion for continued education and growth within medical aesthetics.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a med spa, dermatology, or medical aesthetics practice.
- Experience with medical-grade skincare lines.
- Knowledge of pre- and post-procedure skincare for injectables, lasers, and peels.
- Comfort with client photography, skincare consultations, and treatment plan follow-up.
- Sales experience with skincare products, treatment packages, or membership programs.
- A following on social media or an existing client book.
- Interest in growing with the practice long-term.
Compensation & benefits
- Compensation: $32.00–$42.00 per hour DOE, plus commission on services and retail. Structured to reward the value you create.
