Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented GE MRI Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring they are comfortable, and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and safety standards to produce clear, diagnostic-quality images.
- Monitor patients throughout the imaging process, observing their condition and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or discomfort.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including recording patient information, procedure details, and imaging results within electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to review images and ensure proper positioning for optimal results.
- Follow strict infection control practices and manual handling procedures to ensure patient safety and hygiene standards are upheld.
- Stay current with advancements in MRI technology, maintaining certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR, while continuously enhancing your skills through ongoing education.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating GE MRI equipment in a clinical setting with a strong understanding of diagnostic radiology principles.
- Critical care experience or acute care background is highly desirable for managing complex patient conditions effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and medical documentation standards is essential for accurate record-keeping.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with patients of diverse backgrounds and provide excellent patient service.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems such as EMR/EHR platforms used in healthcare environments.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required; additional certifications related to blood sampling or plastic surgery imaging are advantageous.
- Experience with manual handling techniques, blood sampling procedures, and reporting patient conditions accurately is preferred.
- Clinic experience involving diagnostic radiology or surgical settings will be considered a strong asset.
