Responsibilities
- Engage in activities tailored to participants’ interests and abilities to promote socialization and skill development
- Support behavioral health needs through positive behavior management strategies
- Collect data on participant progress and behavior and ensure quality documentation
- Provide transportation to and from Day Program with the company van
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accordingly
- Keep the facility clean, safe and well organized
Requirements
- Must have prior experience working in a day program with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or disabilities in a caregiving or support role
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices
- MUST HAVE a valid driver’s license and safe driving record for transportation duties
- Strong organizational skills for data collection, documentation, and care coordination
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills for working effectively
- Basic understanding of medication administration protocols and safety procedures
