Behavior Technician (Part-Time)
Pay: $26.00–$43.00 per hour
Hours: Approximately 16 hours per week
Location: Springfield, Agawam, East Longmeadow, West Springfield, Westfield, and surrounding areas in Massachusetts
Schedule
- Monday, Thursday, and Friday: 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- Additional weekday hours may be available, including some shifts beginning at 12:30 PM.
About the Position
We are seeking dedicated Behavior Technicians to provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Technicians will implement individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) focusing on behavior reduction, communication, language development, social skills, and skill acquisition.
RBT-certified applicants are encouraged to apply. BCBA interns are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs.
- Follow treatment plans and behavior support protocols developed by supervising BCBAs.
- Maintain client safety and implement approved safety procedures when necessary.
- Collect accurate behavioral data and complete required documentation.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training opportunities.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Follow client-specific behavior and curriculum plans consistently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or related needs preferred.
- Experience supporting children with challenging or aggressive behaviors preferred.
- Safety Care training is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to professionalism, cultural competence, and high-quality client care.
