Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including siding installation, windows, doors, framing, finish carpentry, waterproofing, windows, decks, foundation work, and running small sized crews. This role requires a competent team-oriented builder who can manage projects effectively while self performing with small sized crews and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for overseeing job sites, coordinating with team members, and ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Supervise and lead carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Perform various carpentry tasks including dry rot repair, kitchen/bathroom /whole home remodels. Small scale projects as well.
- Assess project needs and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ensure all work is performed plumb, level, and square while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters on best practices in the restoration industry.
- Handle heavy lifting as required for various materials and equipment during projects.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate efforts on larger restoration projects, particularly those involving water damage restoration or stucco applications.
Experience
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects in the restoration industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools necessary for carpentry tasks.
- Experience in all carpentry
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients alike.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
