Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS preferred
- 2+ years of RN experience
- PCU experience
- Cardiac Progressive Care experience
- Cardiac experience, including post-op CABG and post-cardiac procedure monitoring
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse provides safe, patient-centered care using the nursing process and professional nursing standards. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, evaluating patient responses, and coordinating care with the healthcare team.
The RN will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals while maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, dignity, and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and identify patient needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and communicate findings appropriately.
- Provide cardiac and progressive care nursing to patients with complex medical needs.
- Monitor post-operative CABG and post-cardiac procedure patients.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established standards.
- Educate patients and families regarding care, treatment, and health management.
- Delegate appropriate tasks based on patient condition and staff competency.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities.
