Summary:
Provide design and support for Great River Energy’s (GRE) technical documentation systems, including the development, implementation and maintenance of procedures within the power supply engineering department regarding document control and data management.

Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Support projects including the updating and design of drawings by using AutoCAD
- As-built site drawings, electrical layouts, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and other detail drawings as required.
- Prepare project specific drawings
- Support engineering and project management staff on document control and management functions
- Complete project closeout process with engineers’ approval
- Develop standardized drawing templates and details
- Provide technical support on projects and tasks
- Assist with cost estimating of projects as needed
- Perform data entry in Maximo, Adept and other applications as requested.
- Perform audits and/or checks on data entered to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Electronically check in/out drawing files for external consultants within the Adept drawing management system.
- Work with staff and other Adept system administrators to identify and implement process improvements related to the drawing control process.
- Organize, archive, and track drawing files as part of the O&M and construction processes.
- Research retention guidelines for any new documents that need to be stored and establish an appropriate retention schedule.
- Research and determine appropriate means to store documents i.e. scan, hard copy etc.
Qualifications : Knowledge typically acquired through two years post-secondary engineering technology program. A minimum of two years’ document control and data entry experience preferred.
