EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the upkeep of vehicles and equipment by performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of machinery. As a Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic, you will perform the following duties: Equipment Repair: Inspect and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and mechanical systems on vehicles and construction equipmentPreventative Care: Carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics, tune ups, and adjustments to keep equipment in good working orderState Inspections: Conduct official safety and emissions inspections and complete required documentationTool Operation: Use diagnostic tools and repair equipment to identify problems and replace worn or damaged partsSafety Practices: Follow safety procedures, report hazards, and maintain a clean and safe work areaTeam Support: Assist other mechanics, share repair techniques, and help maintain accurate equipment recordsInterested in learning more?
