Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled electronics technician with previous experience assembling complex wiring harnesses, subassemblies and systems to join our team in a small, fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be an organized multi-tasker with enthusiasm for technology, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. We require a minimum of 5+ years of experience working with complex electrical systems. Applicants must be detail-oriented, methodical, and able to work with minimal supervision. In addition, applicants must be reliable, collaborative, and motivated to thrive in a multi-faceted, dynamic role within a busy environment. Associates degree or equivalent practical experience required. This role is essential in contributing to the overall quality and output of our products, which are in ever-increasing demand. Duties
- Assemble complex wiring harnesses, and complex testing systems following written and verbal instructions
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies using common diagnostic tools, including digital multi-meters, microscopes, etc.
- Testing and verifying functionality of finished subassemblies
- Report defects / non-conformances and suggest improvements to work instructions
- Review procedures and provide feedback to engineering staff
Requirements
- Associates degree in Electronics Technology or related field, or 5+ years of equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years prior assembly experience, preferably in a small business environment
- Able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in soldering and in the use of a multimeter, as well as wire processing tools and basic hand tools
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good manual dexterity
- Good communication skills (written and spoken) in English
- Capable of occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Minimum 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the USA
Preferred / Desired
- BS in related field
- Experience interpreting electrical schematics
- Experience working for a small manufacturing company
- IPC-A-610 Endorsement
