Duties
- Carefully sort incoming laundry items based on type, color, fabric, and cleaning requirements
- Inspect textiles for stains, tears, or damage, and communicate any issues to supervisors
- Handle heavy loads of linens and materials using proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness of work area by regularly cleaning equipment and sorting stations
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Assist with loading and unloading laundry carts and materials handling equipment as needed
- Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move materials for extended periods
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace at all times
