Overview:
There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. The Director is a servant-leader at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and he is dedicated to the success of his team and the people of his community. This is a close-knit EP Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated. The benefit about working here is that you will truly learn and acquire valuable experience, as there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. Our EP Lab offers state-of-art technology and medical devices.
Responsibilities:
The EP Lab CVT Charge, under the direction the of the director/manager person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.
Qualifications:
- Education

Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
-
Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration
-
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)

If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
- FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR
- FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
- any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
