We are accepting resumes for a full time Facilities Maintenance Manager position. This a working manager position where the leader supervises delegates work, but also pitches in to complete work assignments and projects.
Job Summary: Direct and oversee the overall operation of the physical plant and maintenance & housekeeping departments in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations, and as directed by the Executive Director.
Qualifications Required:

Minimal Formal Education Required: Associate degree or equivalent vocational education, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilites include:
- Manage the planning, development, organizing, implementation, supervising, and ongoing evaluation of the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments.
- Develop, implement, and enforce departmental policies and procedures to ensure the equipment is functional and current at all times, and is properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
- Supervise / monitor the work of the maintenance and housekeeping staff to ensure compliance of directives and established policies and procedures. Interpret policies and procedures to department personnel as necessary.
- Complete performance evaluations of all department employees in a thorough and timely manner.
- Coordinate all maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to ensure the successful the move-in process/admission experience for new residents.
- Ensure that all available apartments/rooms are maintained in clean and good “showing” condition at all times.
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing staffs to turn over vacated apartments for re-sale/rooms for admission in an expeditious and cost-effective manner.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program and Routine Maintenance Program to ensure the proper maintenance of the building, grounds, and machinery. Ensure complete and accurate records are maintained of all work performed.
- Review department policies, procedures, manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually, and make necessary changes, as appropriate upon approval by the Administrator.
- Coordinate the recruiting, selection and training of competent department personnel.
- Ensure the timely set-up and tear-down of rooms for all community activities and functions.
- Keep the management team informed on a regular basis of progress with outstanding projects.
