Job Summary
We are seeking TWO dynamic and detail-oriented Grant Writers to join our team and drive our fundraising efforts through compelling and strategic grant proposals. In this role, you will be responsible for researching funding opportunities, developing persuasive proposals, and managing relationships with grant-making organizations. Your expertise will help secure vital funding that supports our mission and expands our programs. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop clear, persuasive, and well-structured grant proposals tailored to funders’ guidelines and priorities
- Manage and maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and correspondence using databases and CRM software such as Raiser's Edge
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and ensure proposals accurately reflect project needs and outcomes
- Monitor grant progress, prepare progress reports, and ensure compliance with funder requirements
- Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, foundations, and government agencies through effective communication and stewardship
- Support digital marketing efforts by promoting funded projects via social media platforms to enhance visibility and engagement
Requirements
- Proven experience in grant proposal writing with a strong portfolio of successful submissions.
- Excellent research skills to identify new funding sources across various sectors
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with funders
- Knowledge of strategic planning, fundraising strategies, and relationship management techniques
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Presentation, Drive) for preparing documents and presentations
- Experience in project management and team collaboration to meet deadlines efficiently
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism in all communications
- Background in digital marketing, social media marketing, public relations, or customer service is a plus

COMPENSATION IS A PERCENTAGE OF THE FUNDS RECEIVED.
Starting with 10% of grant amount received for the first grant. Thereafter, it’ll be 20%.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role.
