World Arts East is hiring Dance, Yoga, Martial Arts, Circus, and Music Instructors to teach workshops and classes. We are a small business in New York that offers a variety of arts and wellness classes and services from around the globe. Description:
As an Instructor (dance, music, yoga, fitness, aerial circus) you will be responsible for teaching our classes or workshops. Instructors will be responsible for teaching the following:
- Learn and teach basic to advanced skills.
- Continue to learn, master, and enjoy the discipline you are teaching.
- Teach your arts form to students of various levels in a positive and encouraging manner.
- Work with a team of managers and instructors to ensure a smooth and successful program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of experience in teaching their specific form.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience.
- Should have a positive attitude and be willing to consistently market their class or workshop.
- Professional demeanor (on time for class, prepared with a plan for each class).
- Seeking persons comfortable teaching adults and children.
We are looking for instructors in:
- Dance (world dance, classical dance, hip hop, modern dance)
- Martial Arts ( various forms)
- Circus (aerial, stretch)
- Yoga (restorative, alignment based forms)
- Music (world music forms)
Benefits:
Commission pay in addition to hourly rate for workshops. Continuing education opportunities.
