A growing Columbus-area organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. This position will play a key role in supporting month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional who can quickly integrate into a team environment and contribute immediately.
Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.

Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve processes.

Assist with internal and external audit requests.

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level accounting responsibilities.

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Pay Details: $32.00 to $40.00 per hour
