Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is ready for procedures, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as restorations, root canals, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments by providing necessary tools and support efficiently.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology like 3D scanners while ensuring proper positioning and radiation safety standards are met.
- Manage patient records by updating electronic medical records including documenting vital signs, medical history, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient flow management.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following strict infection control procedures and ensuring all tools are properly sterilized between patients.
