Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a GSRP Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The classroom will have 18 students, 1 lead teacher, 1 assistant teacher, and 1 caregiver.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Mange the daily operations of the classroom, including setting up learning materials, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages children to express themselves and engage with their peers.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting developmental milestones and sharing observations with the program director and parents.
- Build strong relationships with students and their families, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with your team to tailor instruction and interventions to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
- Lead classroom management and behavior guidance, promoting positive interactions among children.
- Support the implementation of health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe learning environment for all students.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelors in Early Education.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting, preferably in a preschool or early childhood program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the dynamic needs of a classroom environment.
- Basic proficiency in technology and willingness to learn new educational tools and software.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Background check clearance as required by state regulations.
