OAK HILL SCHOOL POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Educational Assistant for Fall 2026
Curriculum Areas: Grade 1-3, all content areas
Location: Oak Hill School, Eugene, OR
Schedule: Monday – Friday, on days school is in session.
Reports to: Director of Lower School

Appointment Type: Hourly, 10-month appointment.
Oak Hill School is a vibrant, PreK–8th grade independent school nestled on a scenic 72-acre campus that invites exploration, creativity, and a deep connection to the natural world. We are seeking warm, dedicated, and collaborative Educational Assistants to support students and teachers in our first-third grade classrooms.

Key Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities
- Assist with classroom management and student supervision
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Collaborate with faculty to support each child's learning and well-being
- Help prepare classroom materials and organize learning spaces
- Supervise children during transitions, recess, and lunch
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting
- Understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love of working with children
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred
- Must have current, insurable Oregon driver’s license, be able to pass a background check and must be able to secure current first aid certification
